National Margarita Day (February 22)

"You just keep thinking about all those seƱoritas and margaritas that are gonna be nursing you back to health, okay?"
-Bodhi, "Point Break"

How did this margarita thing get started anyway?

Roughly 220 years ago, a wise Mexican philanthropist named Julio Vasquez de Mario decided that tequila and lime juice could be brought together for the sake of spreading happiness. Relatively little is known about his personal life, but today is his birthday. That is why February 22 is known as National Margarita Day.

Interesting story, right?

Nah not really.
You can't believe EVERYTHING you read on the Internet.

Who knows what this stuff is really about? Who cares? Who wants a margarita right now? Who HAS a margarita right now?
(That's a serious question if anyone is willing to share)

All we know here at Tea Time 24/7 is that a good margarita should never go unappreciated.

What's your poison:

Italian Margarita?
Cadillac Margarita?
Perfect Margarita?
Topshelf Margarita?
Coronaritas?

Do you prefer a specialty at a local or chain restaurant?

What about those Bud Light Beer-like flavored ritas that the hood is crazy about?

Whatever works for you works for us as long as you're responsible in your merrymaking festivities.
Share your thoughts, share your margarita pics, share this post, share in the festivities.

As usual, keep in touch with us via FacebookTwitter, and Instagram.
